In 2021...
We were able to serve approximately 1,500 kids our curated gift bags. Out of 10,000+ toys and 2,000+ books, we were left with only 1,000 or so items which went into the caring hands of Celebration Nation.
Not to mention we were able to feed over 1,000 people plant based burgers from Burgerlords.
One of our main goals of the Toy Giveaway was to give toys that focused on child development without promoting gender biases. We were only able to do this because of our donors who contributed over $50,000 to make it happen.
In 2020...
In 2020 we realized a lot of systemic forces were coming together to pinch people who were economically vulnerable. We started MásForMore to find ways to help improve the lived experience of people in those positions.The Toy Giveaway was one way we saw we could help by making the holidays a little easier for those who wanted to give gifts to their kids but were unable to. It was successful and we gave around 4,000 presents to 1,000 families.
